August 7th, 8th and 9th saw the ‘Football in the Community’ department hold their first ever course at Dawlish Community College. Young players from Dawlish and surrounding areas were invited along to participate in coaching sessions and enter into fun orientated competitions with medals, trophies and prizes being presented to the winners.
The course was headed by UEFA B Licence Community Officer Adam Shearer who commented ‘ As it was our first course I was pleased with the way things went. We had 9 players attend but that gives us a base to build on and considering we havent starting coaching in the schools yet I was particularly happy’ The emphasis of the course was fun and enjoyment and all players who attended were presented with a free T-shirt, a certificate and a match ticket to a first team game. The course was kindly sponsored by Peppers School of Motoring.
